Oiled up

Anyone who knows me knows how much I value a BEAT face. However, I feel as if you, my loyal Lo' Catter's, aren't aware of how much I also value  healthy and vibrant MAKE-UP FREE skin. I'm a firm believer that flawless skin is the best accessory a woman can have and as a make-up lover it's so important that I take care of  my skin so that when I don't wear make-upI don't look insane.

Personally, I've always been an advocate for a to die for moisturizer and over the years I've tried the good and the bad. However, nothing quite does the trick for me  like an all natural face oil. I know what you're thinking... OIL, won' that clog my pores? Well.. no!  Natural oils help lock in moisture which in turn will help stop the over-production of oil which usually leads to a shiny nose and t-zone area. In actuality, not putting on natural oils can cause break outs because your pores begin to create more oil from the lack of moisture. Jojoba oil, Grapeseed oil and Lavender oil are three essentials you ladies should know about and use.

Jojoba Oil

The antibacterial  and anti-inflammatory  properties in this oil help fight  bacterial growth and reduce redness and swelling. Jojoba oil works to  deeply cleanse your pores, unclogging them from impurities and on top of all that Jojoba oil is a great moisturizer. Because this oil also helps fight acne you can use it at night and in the morning.

Grapeseed Oil

Grapeseed oil contains linoleic acid which strengthens cell membranes and increases the overall quality of your skin! Grapeeed oil can also help regulate your natural oil production..so basically if you have oily skin Grapessed oil is exactly what you need! Grapeseed oil is exactly what you need on your face in the morning.

Lavender Oil

Lavender oil helps control control sebum production, soothes irritated skin and and is also used to clear up scarring. Different from the two oils mentioned above  lavender oil can also be mixed with castor oil to create a bomb moisturizer. Alone, Lavender oil can be too harsh to put all over your face. This oil can  be used at night as well as in the morning.

Now I will say this, if you over use these oils then yes you will clog your pores. Therefor it's important that you use a small amount of oil to moisturize your face in the morning and before bed, a little goes a long way. Also another key to helping keep your pores unclogged is to EXFOLIATE. Although exfoliation  is super beneficial and a major key in having glowing skin remember not to over due it. You don't want to irritate you skin, like the oils a little goes a long way with exfoliation.
